Need to know how to find the year it was made and value. What does the serial number tell me. Any informtion helps

  Do a GOOGLE search for John Stimpson's High Standard site. He has all the information relating to DOM.

  From High Standard Automatic Pistoles 1932-1950 by Charles E. Petty
  they made about 44,000. 109110 6/15/1943 to 153890 mid 1946. An interesting varient USA HD MS silencer equipt. Gary Powers was caught with one when his U2 was downed over Russia.

  Charlie Petty's data on this model is not quite right. Earliest shipment was 9/2/1942. The 109,110 pistol did not ship until 12/2/1942 with some even earlier serial numbers as low as 103,863.
  
  Last major shipment was 5/12/1945 with serial numbers as High as 145,700.
  
  The number shipped is closer to 32,000
  
  The serial number an usually be used to determine the day, month, and year of shipmetn
