I have an Ithaca model 37 ser# 425XXX can anyone tell me the year it was manufactured? Also there is the number 4 beneath the serial number that I was told designates the barrel choke but what barrel choke would 4 be if this is how Ithaca designates the choking. Any help is appreciated.

I would pay $350 for one in good shape. I have one I bought years ago. They are nice guns. They will fire when pumped while holding the trigger back. What you saw may be the Model 37 Featherlight. The BB lists this model in 100% cond at $600, $550 for 98%, $475 for 95%, and $400 in 90% condition.

This is mine with the factory extended tube.

I sold a lightweight on GB in 2008. It was in 99% condition. I only got $260 for it.

The 20 gauge model is a squirrel killin machine LOL. That brought back a few memories.
350 in really good condition maybe. I'd rather pay less of course...

I have my dad's 37. He used it for nearly 50 years, maybe more. I have used it off and on for the last 40 years. I had my own for a while but when I got into combat shotguns I went to an 870, way more stuff made for it + 3 in shells. Ithaca all milled parts. Mag tube tight, doesn't rattle- many times reloaded shells jam in tube; cure size cases with the collet MEC supersizer. Early ones had fitted bbls later ones were interchangeable. Lighter to carry but will beat you with heavy field loads. I saw a Norinco one once and that was enough. Great gun as is but does not modify well or easy.

I own several in all configurations and would not buy any other pump gun on the market.. Have used a 20 Gauge Featherlight for years and its my choice for rabbits and grouse.. Tough to beat ...i think these may be regional on pricing though.. Here in the Northeast they are hot and would go for that much in great condition.. I just sold a 16 gauge featherlight in the shop for $450 in 98 % condition. Im in Upsate NY about 90 miles from Ithaca , NY .
