    It looks very close to a Lyman but the base is odd. Might be a couple brands linked together? I'll keep searching with what I have.

    Most likely a Marbles sight. Like Lyman, they made numerous variations, for different model firearms.

    The base is secured by two screws into the stock. The hole for the screw under the sight post has an open end and was made to slide under the screw head after it is screwed into the wood and then tightened further with the exposed screw. It is an odd design and may very well be homemade.
    I removed the sight post to find out that little secret. BTW...if you need a perfect size replacement for the tiny steel balls or the spring in this tang sight, they can be found in a common zerk fitting for greasing the suspension parts of an old car. Guess how I know that....LOL

    Looks home made except for the two sided nut that looks Lyman.
    Great idea for source of tiny springs and balls. I'm always looking for tiny springs.
