Does anyone have this rifle or one similar to it?

Is this a good rifle brand to buy?

    The way things are going to hell in a handbasket, buy the Bushmaster. Don't be worrying about the Colt vis a vis the Bushmaster. All Colt actually has going for it, over the Bushmaster, is it's name.

    Trust me, if things go south as far as the availability of AR's are concerned. You will make a mint off the Bushmaster, if you ever decide to get rid of it.

    Take rufe-snow's advice. Take it in a hurry, as things are drying up quickly. Where the local gunshop, usually sells a handful of AR-15 style rifles a year, they sold 13,and sold out, in the last two days. We had folks calling from 100 miles away to reserve them on a credit card.

    Just about any name brand will be good(Delton, Stag, Colt, DPMS, Bushmaster, Rock River, S&W, Armalite, Double Star, Spikes Tactical, Windham, and others) and functional, but stay away from Blackthorne/Hesse/Vulcan, same people, but different names to outrun their quality issue. CAI, or Century Arms International, also seem to be less desirable.

    Like a collector car, if you're buying to store it and sell it 5 years later "unfired and NIB", the big brand names are going to give the best bang for the buck. If you want to shoot it recreationally, the Bushmaster will do all you ask of it. "Specially now, where they're flying off the shelves like a Black Friday 40 dollar flat screen TV at Wal Mart.
