You can connect 2 macs together with firewire cable and boot one in "disk" mode which presents it to the other as just a disk so you can copy files, etc.

AFAIK the G-4 was the PPC processor still, so Windows wouldn't run on it.

I've personally have had a lot of problems with computers using older operating systems. Then trying to update them to the newer versions. Unless you can have some pro who knows what they are doing, and are willing to do it Inexpensively , it ain't hardly worth it.

Last MAC laptop I had, went south on me at just over a year old. I finally found a local guy who would work on it. He said the only thing that he could do was to put in a new motherboard at $300+. I took the sucker, ( the computer, not the tech ), out in the forest and shot it full of holes.

I love fixing computers with bullets!![:D]

I have also repaired washers, dryers, microwaves and coffee makers with bullets! I fix 'em forever with a twenty round magazine of .308.

Works every time, makes me feel great also![:)]

Nothing more satisfying than fixing it yourself!

I have a lot of AOL formatted files with email information on them I want to transfer and my I-photos. If that can be done that would be great. I called the shop and am waiting for a call back
