Which Semi Auto DA Only 9mm Has Best Trigger Pull

I'm just curious about what you experts would consider as the best (double action only) semi auto pistol (in 9mm) related to trigger smoothness and one that doesn't have much, if any, excessive trigger creep.

Thanks in advance for any helpful opinions.

If you are talking about pure DA, where the trigger moves the hammer from safe/rest to full-cock and then trips the sear, I would recommend the SIG. If you are including staged/half-cocked striker systems then I would add the Springfield XD.

There was an obscure S&W back in the days when they actually printed a decoder wheel to keep track of the model numbers that had a very smooth DAO. Unfortunately I don't remember the number and the model is long discontinued anyhow.

I don't understand "excessive trigger creep" in a DAO.
Trigger creep is defined as trigger movement before the sear is released in a SA; and in DA it is all movement.

I would ask, if you are talking about a true double action only pistol, that actually has a hammer, or if you include the safe action, striker fired pistols like Glock, and the S&W Sigma, Springfield XD, etc. What size and function are you looking for from this pistol(I have a hammer fires Ruger LC 9, and love it for its derived purpose)?

That refers to triggers, that the actual trigger lever performs one function...to trip the sear, or can be considered sear engagement. Sear engagement is the amount of movement needed to trip the sear. In DAO auto's, DA/SA auto's, and DA revolver's, the trigger actually is used to lift the hammer, and trip the sear...so that is not considered creep, sear engagement, or pre travel

i agree with the SIG as being one of the best IF not THE best DA trigger pull, my SIG P226 is the smoothest i have ever used.

If Glocks are your cup of tea? Lone Wolf Distributors sell 3 pound connectors, and trigger stop assemblies that do wonders for Glock trigger pulls.

Installation of them, along with polishing and lubing the internal moving parts, make a big difference when using Glocks for target shooting at a distance.

"Best" is highly subjective. Also, you didn't specify OTHER necessary features of the gun to do the comparison (ie all steel? polymer? is striker-fired OK?).

IMO (and I've actually "Pepsi challenged" them, shooting the two side by side) the CZ-75 has a noticeably better DA trigger than the stock SIG 226.

I haven't tried the SIG with the "DAK" trigger, but I'd bet it beats most conventional SA/DA pistols. If you want DA only, that would be the way to go.

It does use a striker (not a hammer), but unlike the Glock and XD, the Walther P99 is a true double action, and it actually has a great double action pull, being both smooth and totally non-stacking (ie trigger pull weight is the same through the whole pull). This is available in DA-only variant.
