H870 powder
Ok I love H870 rifle powder and use it in my 7mm Mag and 25-06 with great results. I know that they stopped making this powder a few years ago but are there any sources to buy surplus? Or is there something that is comparable as I am starting to run low. thanks

According to my burning rate data chart, Reloader 25 has the same burning rate as H870. AA8700 & H1000 have a slightly faster burning rate, YMMV. Start with a load 10% less then the load your using now with H870 and watch for high pressure indications. 0 -
I've used H1000 with good results in your caliber!
I've also found H4831 to be A-ok in some of the 7 mags and 25-06's!
(I"m indicating for good consistent 1 1/8 inch 3 shot cold barrel groups or better at 100 yards from a hunting rifle)0 -
Correction: I've never tried H1000 in a 25-06, just 7 mags and 300 mags! 0 -

I love H1000 in the 7mm rem Mag I had.
Played with 4831 SC & 4350 with lighter bullets.
I have another 7mm rem mag now so I'll have to check them out in it & see how they work in it.0
