Need better hammer for.......

My Ruger P 89 is a bear to cock! I'm not a weakling either! I hate the biting edge on the stock hammer spur.
My question is who makes one similar to the S&W series 59 hammers? I have many other 9MM's , but this one is the only one thats difficult for me to cock to single action.

  The Ruger hammers are designed more to prevent hammer bite than for manual cocking. Really, how often in normal use does the pistol require thumb cocking?

  In case you can't an after market that fits your needs for $25 buy a new one and rework it into what you want. If you keep the heat away from the working surfaces there should be no problems.
