Anyone know the trigger pull weight??? No safety on the gun???

  Thinking about a pocket pistol. Is this new Ruger LCP 380 reliable and free of problems as long as you get one built after the recall? Should I be looking at something else/ Thanks!

  Ruger specifies 8 lbs. This review claims 5lbs. 6 ozs.

  Mine has a trigger pull similar to my .38 snubby Taurus. The LCP does not have an external safety like the bigger LC9. Per ruger once the slide is pulled back it puts the gun in a semi cocked position. The gun shoul not fire unless the trigger is fully pulled. The early versions had a recall on them to fix a safety issue. They are as safe as carrying a fully loaded revolver.
