    No real need to buy the trigger assembly, just hunt up a J frame hammer and have at it...

    Buy another hammer and bob it, then put the original away so if you ever sell the gun it can be put back in.

    When you buy another hammer use the double action sear off the original hammer so you don't have to fit it. There are a lot of bobbed J frame hammers out there as the spur breaks easily. Contact Al at the Gun garage. He has one. #479-524-2038

    Be sure and test your work for function, have seen a few that caused fail to fire from being so light. I used a shim washer on the spring of my 60 to correct the problem.

    There are several J-frame hammer variations; you have to post a photo or describe it accurately.

    When getting work done on my J-frames, I go to a gunsmith. I also get an action job & request installation of Wolff springs. But, your skills are probably > mine.
