Hello Bert,
I just acquired a Model 55 Winchester, solid frame, sn 1074549, serrated butt plate, checkered hammer type 6, barrel and tang markings, caliber .30 WCF, 24" barrel, 50 % flaking receiver blue Please contact me if you have any questions or info.

  Thanks... I currently have over (500) Model 55 rifles in the survey, and nearly (1000) Model 64 rifles.
  
  For those that are interested, I am also conducting a research survey for the Models 65 and 71.

  I looked up the PR records, and your Model 55 was serialized on 4/6/1931. If you get the chance to check the barrel date, I would really appreciate it.
