If it is a side lock, and has double set triggers, it is either, in descending order of popularity, a HAWKIN, RENEGADE, SENECA, or CHEROKEE. Those are the only muzzle loaders they made with set trigger's.

Now, they did make the TCR 87, with double set triggers, and it was a break open rifle.

With Thompson Center, desirability, condition, and accessories, play an important factor in value, in descending order as I have them listed.

We would need to see pictures, at the very lease, and a hands on at most, to give an accurate evaluation. Even if it is "RARE", that doesn't mean its desirable...hell, BUBBA's have made a lot of rare guns, that no one wants. Even if it is desirable, don't count on it to pay a college tuition.

I believe that the photo you have posted shows the first pre-hunter version that Thompson brought out in the early 80's. They were called the Aristocrat.

Never were real popular and Thompson pulled the plug on them pretty quick. Value would depend on what barrel it's chambered for. In any case I don't see it being a big buck collectors item unless it's in NIB condition with all original accessories and documentation.

We need more complete pictures(notice that is in plural form), to judge the condition. They must be well lit, in focus, and clearly show all permanant markings.

At best, you are looking at around $1K, or so.
