G21sf
I'm looking to trade my G21 SF with
night sites towards a similar/ better pistol.
(No 1911's -have 2).
Any of you guys with experience recommend a
pistol for me to look at.
I have an EEA witness all steel 9mm and it
fits my hand really good.So I'm interested
with the same type pistol, all steel.
(Range and nightstand)
Thanks much.

rong,
Is that Witness an older one, or newer one? From what I understand, the newer, or most recent versions, the 9mm, and 45ACP, both have the same sized frame(actually, they all, 22LR, 9mm, 38 super, 40 S&W, 10mm, and 45 are the same size frame). I have in fact handled a Witness in 45, recently, and I have to admit, it feels AWESOME, and for the little cost..$350.00 out the door, almost purchased it.
I would say run with the Witness, or CZ has an enlarged version of their 75.
If you are into older metal, and single stack, there are the tank like S&W 4506's, and the Ruger P series.

Yes, this will fit other caliber kits
on it.In fact for $495 I got the 9mm
and 22 conv kit.
Odd, this is the first handgun I could hit
steel without getting used to it.
Feels great in my hand.0 -
I've decided to go with the Colt 1991a1
in 45acp.
Has anyone had experiences with these,
good or bad?
Thanks Ron0 -

They are OK as long as you can put up with the plastic parts. Good 1911 to build [;)]0 -

If your 9mm Witness is the CZ97b clone (large frame) and not the CZ75 clone (small frame) why not just get a 45 conversion kit for it?0 -
The 1991 series has changed most models to a long aluminum trigger. (I assume it still has a plastic MSH.)
The 70 series is all steel.
You can pick the model/features/finish that you like best, it doesn't matter much; they are still real Colts.

Conv kits are $245 and EEA tells me they
have to be fitted by a gunsmith0 -
I have a full size Witness steel .42/.22 that I got a .38 Super kit for. It dropped right on and functions beautifully, no gun smithing or fitting needed. 0 -
I'm only repeating what was told me
and I have my doubts.0 -
Handle a S&W M&P 45. I think you'll like the grip.
Slimmer than the 45 Glocks.0
