Kahr P45/PM45 Vs. CW45
Folks,
I was in a friends shop the other day, and saw a Kahr CW45. I was astounded, as it looks so much, and feels so much like the P45/PM45's, at $300.00-400.00 less.
I looked at the specs on them all, and the P45, and CW45 are virtually the same size, but the P45 weighs a couple ounces less. There must be an extra machining operation in there some where. The P45 also appears to have a nicer finish on the slide.
Can someone, please tell me what the difference is between the two, other than price? Is the CW45 reliable?

Yes I know what I found on the Kahr Arms site. I only asked as to find out if anyone had actual experience with them.

Some machining, internal finishing, and sights to lower the price.
Other than those it is just as good as the P series.
EDIT, I have a P-45 and have handled the CW series guns. The trigger pull is not quite as good and finish is not as good. But for the price they are good pistols.0 -
Do some searching here on CW45.
To properly chamber a Kahr you need to lock the slide back and use the slide release.
That's just a little too counter intuitive for me. I prefer to pull the slide back and let it sling shot forward.
With a Kahr that results in problems.0
