Smith & Wesson #1 second issue

I found what seems to me to be a good price for one that is in very good shape except that it has been reblued.
That doesn't bother me but the pistol doesn't lock up when you cock it & that does. Is that likely to be as simple as replacing a spring or could it be something more serious?
