I am selling an Iver Johnson model 50 'sidewinder' online and have a request to sell to C&R. Is it eligible? Is there a range of serial #s that is eligible? Thanks for any help.

  If you can verify that it's date of manufacture was prior to 8/62, it would be a C & R.
  
  Some folks on this forum are very knowledgeable, vis a vis I.J.'s. They might be able to give you DOM, if you could provide S.N.
  
  
  EDIT #1, Just checked the BB. Production of the Sidewinder started in 61. Unless yours is first year of production, very unlikely to be C & R.

  There are no serial number records for post-WW2 guns, but the Model 50 Sidewinder series was made 1961-1970s, so it's probably not C&R eligible.

  Unless you can prove to ATF that it was made in 1962 or prior, which you can't, play it safe and ship to an FFL.
