For a long time now, we have had a sort of a rule regarding the locking of threads. Whoever locks it, should make a post stating why.

That rule has been overlooked sometimes.

Ask The Experts is an exception to the "lock explanation" rule, since there is already a sticky there explaining that threads are locked after 10 replies.

Here is another rule I would like to see: If you move a thread from one forum to another, make a post explaining why.

Doing these things will answer a lot of questions before they are asked.

  The threads that I've moved have been due to content fitting better on other forums. Most have been transferred to General Discussion or Want Ads. I will add an explanation from now on.

  Understood. Many of the threads I have moved went to the Reloading Forum after a request from the staff to toss some business their way.
