What gun is this mount for?
I found this mount in a box of crap in the shop, and I have no idea where it came from or what it fits. Any ideas? Thanks!

MrM1A1,
That would be for a S&W "N" frame revolver. I do believe that is what the "N", is for, and it is definately cut out for a revolver.

That makes perfect sense! I see the cylinder cutout now, can't believe I missed that.
Thank you for your help, it's been driving me crazy!0 -
TSR hit it right on the nose [;)]
I had the same mount in blue on a 29-2. Made by Aimtech.0 -
Do the two sideplate screws bear the recoil? I can only see two anchor points, and it's the front, and middle sideplate screw.
If so, kinda weak setup, if you ask me.0 -
There's a similar AK mount with Picatinny Rail.
This mount has a large moment arm, making the absence of dowel pins a mistake.
Learn from the G&H M-1 mount.
Two screws and two pins or rivets as on the similar AK mount.0 -

The top clamps to the top strap with the upper screws. That makes it a very strong mount.0
