go to FFL EZ check online and enter the first 2 and last 5 numbers. it's easy, a formatted page will come up. it will check the FFL and give the proper name and address for that license and if it is valid. if it is anything different than what the copy in your hand shows then don't send anything and notify the ATF 0 -
Absolutely, no one can just arbitrarily alter an ffl license for any reason as it is an official document and any information must be changed by batfe as per their office and could face serious charges especially when your dealing with the Geheime Staatspolizei.
I wouldn't have anything to do with them especially involving altered licenses and he freely claims to doing this sort of thing for 31 years.
The ffl must show the actual physical address on record with batfe, although a mailing address can show as well.

An FFL can have more than one shipping/mailing address. However, they must be properly displayed on the FFL's paper license, and as previously stated in the tools for buyer's and seller's, there is a link for the FFL EZ-Check.

An FFL can receive packages at any address they wish... not only the addresses on the FFL. 0 -
I would put myself in the position of talking to an ATF agent face to face, trying to explain why I did what I did. I don't like prison food, so I would not touch this deal!!!! IMHO 0 -

Do you have some references for that statement?0 -
Vicg is correct; see FFL Newsletter, March 2006, page 8.
"....when the shipment is to be made to an address other than the transferee's premises as listed on his or her license or on his certified list, it is suggested that the transferor verify the address as being that of the transferee."

Every dealer knows this. If not a dealer, google is your friend...
Can an FFL ship a firearm to an address
that is different from the business
premises address identified on the
license?
Yes. Neither the GCA nor its implementing
regulations contain specific provisions,
requiring that an FFL have firearms shipped
to their licensed business premises when
receiving firearms. To that end, an FFL may
lawfully receive firearms at their mailing
address, storage location, or other address
where the licensee intends to ensure safe
and secure receipt of the firearms.0 -
Nothing says that anyone can alter the ffl license however and as a matter of fact according to the batfe office it is a serious offense to do so and the only way to change the license is to request an address change through the batfe.

You cannot alter an FFL. I lost my Post Office box earlier this year and had to contact Atlanta in order to get a new FFL with new information. By statue I could not simply line out the old PO Box number and enter something new. 0
