Computer help please!!!
Please help !!! Now it's happening on GB too.
Older computer with a AOC flat screen monitor, running XP and FIRE FOX.
Display is good EXCEPT sometimes and in some places there is NO "box" to click.
Such as "browse categories", "search for" Then to the right of that should be
a box to click on to go.
There is NO box but if I place my arrow courser on the spot where it should be, it works.
As another screw-up with my display, some web sites have the "click-on bob" with double
writing in it like a over stamp.
My newer laptop and newer tower don't have this trouble.
Me thinks, I "lost" something in the Java program.

If your newer computers are running Windows 7? And the older one that's giving you trouble is using XP, you might look into that. 0 -
You can go to java.com and verify your java install. If it doesn't verify, or you just want to install the new one you can do that from there also.
One othre thing, you may want to try using Internet Explorer at least long enough to verify whether or not it also has the problem. If the problem exists in both programs, it still COULD be Java, but it also could be a video display issue.0 -

I tried IE and it is even worse. Display is out of shape and size, double and triple
over writing. I think it has to do with the older XP and the display settings for the newer
flat panel monitor. If I don't get this figgered out soon, { now going to Java.com},
I know Two slow fire 50 foot pistol targets fit perfect on this monitor. [:D][:D][:D]0 -

Same thing happened to me last year. I had a $1000 Apple computer go south on me. It was just over a year old. Took it to the local computer guy, told me it would cost me $400 for a new Motherboard. Got it out in the woods and worked it over with my Model 12 and a Swede army rifle. The only good computer is a dead computer.0 -
Old version browser on incompatible sites... they depend on current browser support for the fancy things being done.
You mention Firefox ... is it up to date? Latest is 14 ... if it is current (10 or higher) then it could be that you've disabled JavaScript.
If you have a recent version of firefox, I would export your bookmarks to a JSON file (bookmarks -> view all bookmarks -> import/export) close all instances of Firefox (all windows, tabs, download window, etc) and delete your entire profile directory ( c:\users\yourusername\appdata\mozilla IIRC - but ask google to be sure). Then run firefox (it will create a new blank profile) and import your bookmarks (same as export, but choose import instead).0 -

I'd check your display resolution. If you have the model number for your monitor I can look up the optimal resolution.
Really, the only limiting feature that SHOULD mess it up if it's an old computer and new monitor would be if the video card doesn't support the optimal resolution of the monitor.0 -

I agree.. But make sure you have the latest video driver before doing anything.. This is just a general explanation from Adobe, and has nothing to do with their products..

It's a aoc 177s 1 monitor. I think I may have a corrupted driver. I am having a hard time finding a driver for it. All the "normal" websites have me downloading their "scan tools" and then tell me I have so many troubles, then ask for 30 bucks or so to fix them. I only need the driver, not to fix items that show up bad because they are not enabled.[xx(][xx(]0 -
