S&W 4586

I have a Smith and Wesson 4586. It is basically a double action only 4566. My question is is there any way to add the safety mechanism, to my existing slide, to basically convert my gun to a DA-SA like the 4566? Any advice, any do's, don'ts? Thanks for your help.

  It would require a number of pieces, some of which are probably S&W armorer only items, and some machine work. Consider finding a 4513 or similar rather than invest that kind of money in the pistol.

  It can be done if you can find the parts and want to spend the money. There is NO machine work involved, just parts replacement.
