Remington 700 barrel on a 742 0r 7400?

Will a barrel for a Remington 700 fit any other Remington actions? 742 or 7400?

  That's what lathes are for. Lots of work to put a 700 barrel on a semiauto.

  The barrel on a 700 is designed for a TWO FRONT locking lugs &40 760 7400 is completely different type bolt and locking lugs . A model 721 will fit model 700 also maybe model 7 or 600 But no way a model 7400
