ruger mini-14 mags

Does anybody know if Ruger is producing 30rd Mini-14 mags in 223. I know that they are hard to find. I found a guy in Columbus, OH that is asking 125 a piece for them. Personally I think he is nuts. Thanks

    I am interested in hearing opinions on which make of 223 30rd. mags. experienced users recommend for the mini-14.

    I've got some put out by Ruger and they work good, have some that I can't find a name on and they work good too ! [;)]

    ruger factory 1 or if you can find PMI they stopped production in 1995 due to AWB you can find them here and there

    The only luck I have had with Mini-14 (or Mini-30) mags, and this is echoed by our local agencies who issue them, is Ruger factory mags. I personally have 15 mags for the Mini 14; 6 are off-brand. 3 of those work "OK", the others I squeezed wood inside and use them as vice-blocks when working on the guns. Of the 200 I am in charge of at work, all are factory; none have had issues.

    Back when Ruger only sold hi-caps to LE agencies others tried to fill the gaps, but they've been unreliable jam-o-matics.. both on 20 and 30 round sizes. Now that Ruger makes them and sells them to anyone allowed to buy them, go factory. They might be a bit more $$, but you'll pay 2x if you go outside and then have to go and buy factory mags anyway because they're unreliable.

    Edit- As gunnut posted below, CDNN has the Ruger factory mags for 24.99 each now...which isn't a bad deal. Mini-30's are a few $$ more.
