    If it works outside of the stock , but not in , you obviously have some sort of clearence problem in the trigger area . Your smith probably gave up because it might take hours to find and remedy the problem and didn't figure the gun warrented that kind of investment .

    I put it back in the old stock and it still will not work the trigger will only fit one way. The trigger will push the timing rocker because the barrel will move. I don't if i have the spring in right but looks right i don't if the spring goes under rocker pin or on top.

    You might try putting a thin coat of inletting black, or even black shoe polish, on the various parts of the trigger assembly, put 'er back in the stock and try to work the trigger a few time. Remove the barred action from the stock and see if you can find areas of interference.
