Rare H&R Revolver Info Wanted
I have this H&R Scout revolver that I was told apparently was produced as a private run of 100 revolvers for a particular hardware store. It has a 6" round barrel vs. the octagonal barrel of the Hunter and Trapper models. It has an unfluted cylinder unlike the other revolvers mentioned. The walnut saw-handle grips are number matched to the serial number . All internal parts are H&R as I have replaced some. I tried a Trapper/Hunter fluted cylinder in this revolver, and it fit and functioned perfectly. The only markings on this revolver are the serial # and the "Scout Model" on the top strap.
Can anyone shed any more light on this revolver?
