another Kimber ?

The manual with my new Kimber Super Carry Pro says (after the gun is unloaded) to always let the hammer down by pulling the trigger. Says the sear may be harmed. I have never heard anyone say to do that, sounds dangerous to me, what if someone forgot to unload pistol. Any comments? Thanks

  The manual has it right. The sear can be nicked if it hits the hammer notch and the trigger pull will not be the same.
  Forge has it right about lowering the slide also. Just make sure there is NOTHING in the chamber [;)]

  I was told it's better to let the hammer drop than to hold and drag it home. That's why i got A-Zoom snap caps.

  Manual did not say anything about dry fring, is dry firing ok with a Kimber Supper Carry pro? Sure seems to be a fine gun.
