I hava a Glock model 19 with the serial number 0000. I was just wondering if this affects the value of the gun?

Serial numbers were not a requirement until 1968. Many manufacturers, Remington included, did not serialize a lot of 22 rifles until 1968.

Remingtons have barrel codes on them as shown on the following site:

    http://www.wisnersinc.com/additional_info/remington_date_code.htm

You should be able to date your rifles from there.

    I hope this helps,

they probably don't have a ser. #, they were not required before 1964. you can check the mgf. date with the 'date code' on the side of the barrel (remingtons) see the 'stickey' above for the coding.

Will make it 3 of a kind. Not until the 1968 Gun Control Act kicked in were rifles and shotguns required to have a SN. I collect older Mossberg 22s, have a dozen or so that never had a serial number. It is perfectly legal- REMOVING a serial number is not. They go in my bound book as NSN- No serial number.
