Remington 700 DM

I have a remington 700 with a DM (drop magazine) and would like to covert it to a hinged trigger guard. Is this possible and will the receiver work with a new stock, ect.?

  I think this is one of those deals where you would be better off selling your rifle and buying the one you want. As has been said in other posts--anything is possible if you throw enough money at it. But in this case, detachable magazine 700's are quite desireable and hinged floor plate 700's are easy to find so you could even be a few dollars ahead if you'd go that route.

  Look at the auction side and {Elsewhere} for parts. I converted my 700 to a DM with just a little trimming to the sides of the mag well. If you don't change stocks, you will have the gaps on both sides of it.
