Original blade bayo?

Did Norinco make paratroopers with a blade bayo?

I thought they were all the spike variety.

  i have only seen them with a spike ..which is shorter than the rifle spike..kinda hard to grab with the blade?

  All that I have ever seen had the typical Chinese cruciform bayonet. But anything is possible with the Chinese SKS's though. You had so many manufacturers cranking them out for sale to the U.S. commercial market during that time frame, ( late 80's-mid 90's ), it's possible that knife type bayonets were used.
  
  I remember seeing a lot of them sold back then without bayonets, due to U.S. laws regarding the sale of military type semi-auto rifles. Perhaps this one was sold without a bayonet and later retrofitted with a blade type bayonet?
  
  You might contact the seller and ask for a photo of the cutout in the bottom of the stock where the bayonet rests. The stocks for knife bayonets had a much narrower cut then the ones made specifically for the Chinese pig sticker bayonets.

  The early first version of the Norinco Para had a short blade bayo, and a standard length gas tube. They cut the barrel, and moved the front sight/ bayo lug back, then cut down a blade bayo to match.
  The later SKSS Para had the short gas tube and short spike bayo.
  The one on the auction should have the Factory 26 stamp on the left side of the receiver.

  I have one of each. One has the short blade bayonet with the proper stock cut for a blade and the other has the short "spike" type bayonet. So, yes, they did make them that way for export to the U.S.
  Handy little carbines, they're my favorite SKS.
