What guns? I don't see a picture or description.
Just going by name? I never heard of a Greenier. Maybe a cheap knockoff of a Greener.0 -
I allways thought it was a generic term for a double barrelled twin hammer shotgun. something about only a greenhorn fires both barrells????? 0 -
No.
W.W. Greener is an old line British gunmaker, been around for maybe 140 years.
There used to be a lot of fakes with imitation trademarks misspelled or something. Maybe that is what his Greenier is. Or maybe the op misspelled it and has a real Greener.0 -
W.W. Greener also made the "Greener Police Gun". Shotgun that fired an unsual stepped body shot shell- could only use that ammo, and that ammo could only be used in the Greener. Intended to keep guns "out of the wrong hands". Like Parker and Westley Richards, a lot of companies played on the popularity of the name. 0 -
If what you have is actually marked G-r-e-e-n-i-e-r or simply 'Greener' instead of W.W.Greener accompanied by the full array of British proof marks, it's a knockoff.
This company both designed and manufactured high quality shotguns, with a strong indicator of this being that the production of fakes actually became an industry within itself.
Due to a combination of factors - with a primary one being their lax courts - Belgian gunmakers were particularly known for this and the quality of these guns is highly questionable.
If what you have is a counterfeit, I wouldn't view it as a shooter. For safety's sake, it would be a wallhanger only.0
