Merwin Hulbert SA Pocket Army

Hi,
I need some help with my MH SA Pocket Army revolver. When I opened this up the lever that indexes the cylinder when you cock the hammer was missing.


Can any one suggest where I could buy a replacement? Is there a website where I could find a drawing of this part? Does anyone know the dimensions of this part and how it is connected to the hammer?

  I would start with David Chicoine. He is a master of fixing old west era guns and has written books on fixing them. He also has some obsolete parts.

  When you say "opened it up" do you just mean for loading, or have you had the side plate off?
  
  If the first, the lever or hand may just be swiveled back out of sight due to a broken or missing spring, but the problem should be obvious when side plate's removed.

  I can sketch one up for you from mine if you can't get a replacement.
  First try sales@merwinhulbertco.com. They have or had a great website with history and photos
  They went into production of MH's and if they're still in business
  that would be easiest.
  Calibers are 45Lc, 45 Autorim, 44Spl,44-40& 38 Spl.
  That last one must weigh a ton.
  They also advertized spare cylinders.

  I have followed most of the suggestions with little luck. I did find a guy when I googled Merwin Hulbert. He is Terry Wagner and goes by the name merwinman. Has a few parts, pictures and related info.
  
  The new Merwin Company has not really got off the ground yet and don't know when they could offer parts.
  
  Several people can make replacement parts but need an original to copy.

  Yours looks nice and crisp.
  My M&H also needed repair to the hand but the broken parts were still in the gun.
  I'll send you a trace & dimensioned sketch.
  If you don't mind the 2 1/4# weight, these revolvers shoot very accurately.
