Bertram brass question

Has anybody had good/bad experience with this brand of brass? Bought some 35 WSL online, and had to handwork a few cases just to fit in the shell-holder.

  I bought some 11mm Mauser cases many moons ago. Top shelf stuff.

  You might try shell holders made by a different manufacturer. I have found in the past that they aren't made to a standard dimension, i.e. tolerances will vary slightly. Sometimes a shell holder made for a entirely different cartridge by another manufacture will function better. Over the years I have acquired various orphan shell holders at flea markets and gun shows. Dig them out and use the one that fits the brass best when reloading, no matter the manufacturer or what ID number that's on it.

  I've had to Dremel a few shell holders when you need to open them up to reload balloon head cases.
  Years ago I had to return Bertram cases but I forget the caliber and the reason. They may have been 41 Long Colt

  I use them in several cals. ; no problems
  
  RE:non's reply; I only have used their brass in the older cal's and for that it works well (.43 spanish, ect.). for others STARLINE makes very good brass.

  I have them in 6.5 Dutch and some in 11mm Mauser.
  
  The Mauser has had an unacceptable number burn through the sides of the case, now I use the cheaper Grafs reformed .348 Winchester.
  
  The 6.5 has done fine though.
  
  So mixed bag results.
  
  Edit to reflect the next post- I did break one for the 11mm mauser once, but otherwise they've held up fine.

  don,t buy lee shell holders,to brittle. went thru 4 or five. eastbank.

  Unfortunately, the answer to your question is that the quality of Bertram brass is spotty at best.
  
  I can't speak for trying every type of cartridge case that they manufacture but I have had the displeasure of working with 2 dozen at least. More than 1/2 of those 2 dozen were useless because the cases were soft. Some of the others were being used in older, obsolete type rifles so the loads were restricted to the mild side anyway.
  
  I think that if you can't find good, modern brass for your project, the Bertram will have to do. But if another manufacturer is available, I'd go with them.

  Bought some Nagant brass from them. Every case split on the first firing. They had a sort of brownish color.
  
  Some other rounds I made up from 32-20 brass were thinner, and did not fit the chambers any closer, but did not split.
