Ruger Service Six sight change
How much trouble and expense would it be to have adjustible sights installed on a fixed sight Ruger Service Six? The front sight is pinned, to install the rear sight the frame would have to be machined. Would this conversion be worth the cost? Thanks, Steve.

You would be miles ahead to sell the Service Six and just go buy a Security Six that already has the adjustible sights. You might contact DL Sports as he does put two dot non adjustible rear sights on fixed sight(just the gutter channel like on a S&W J frame) that turns your sights into a 3 dot configuration. He MIGHT be able to do the same with Adjustible rear sights.

It runs about $250 to do this--figure another $60 to ship it to him and I honestly think you would be better off selling the Service Six and applying it to a Security Six(I do however like this fixed 3 dot sight setup).0 -

Those sights are awesome...pricey, but if your main carry gun is a J frame revolver, they are worth it.0
