M14 era USMC qual course
During recruit training in 1967 rifle qualification wason the "A" course. In 1969 I was sent for requal while at Camp Pendleton and they were trying a new "C" course. All targets were variations of silhouettes and the total hits on that yard was multiplied by the number of targets hit. It had the usual 200,300,500 yard lines, but was fairly easy since I had attained an Expert score after shooting the 300 yard line. Then I went to Parris Island and later in the year, requal'ed again, but they were back to the "A" course.
Anyone else have experience with the "C" course?

Wow, don't remember the A or C designation. I shot for boot camp qual at Edson range in '68.
By the way in '68 it was meters, not yards.0 -
Back in my Army basic training in 1962, using the M-1 Garand, the ranges at Fort Leonard Wood, MO were in yards. 0
