S&W S/N DOM INFO??

What is the best place, book or other source, to find out the DOM for a few modern pistols other then calling S&W? I have looked and use the sticky at the top of the page with no luck. I have a very nice gun library and would like to add this info for use in the future.

  "Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson", by Supica & Nahas, 3rd Edition. Is what you want to get. Amazon most likely has it.
  
  
  EDIT #1, Check out pages 395 to 401, in the 3rd Edition. For serial number ranges for specific DOM's. This is what I've used for years, for folks who are requesting DOM info.

  rufe-snow: I do have the "Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson" 3rd edition. Very good book! It gives the years made for each pistol model, but not the year a pistol was made by serial number.

  I don't have the 3rd edition but the 2nd edition has a section in the back called "Serial Number Range by Years" that lists the model number and serial number range for each year of manufacture. Won't help with the last few years of S&W production but is a great resource for older models. Assume it is in the 3rd edition too and has more years of production than the first two editions(which go through the 1990s).
