  Since it is not an original USGI M1 Carbine it would have to be over fifty years old to be classified as a C&R. So far as I know none of the National Ordnance Carbines have reached the half century mark, although some are getting close. The issue here would be just exactly how one would calculate the production date. Doing that will take some serious research.

  The oldest of the National Carbines is from 1960, and would be a C&R. However, in 1965, they changed the front sight- no holes in the ears of the sight. The carbine shown does not appear to have holes in the front sight, which pegs it at 1965 or later- NOT C&R. Some info on National Ordnance for ya- http://www.m1carbinesinc.com/carbine_natord.html
