Is trhere a good online reference source for identifying magazines by photo. 0 -
I'm not aware of one, but I've seen the people here identify magazines with astonishing accuracy.
If you can post pictures, most likely someone will be able to identify it.0 -
NRA publication "pistol &revolver assembly" has magazine ID's on side bars of almost all of it's pages 0 -

Also, google has a search by like image function, that may help0 -
i have to relie on my years of experiance i have looked for a long time but never found a book just on mags and clips 0 -

You can search by like image using images.google.com - just click the camera icon in the search bar, put in the URL of the photo (so post it online somewhere first) and search away. 0 -

About the database
In over 30 years of trading in firearm magazines I have not found
any reference material for identifying magazines, so I created my own database.
This database was compiled using INFODEX PRO database manager.
It includes 5 measurements of each magazine, images, description,and 23 sort indexes.
May be sorted on any field or combination of fields.
Fields are: Make, Caliber, Model, Rounds, Height, Width, Thickness, Latchpoint, Latchpoint inches,
Degrees, Description, and 2 image fields
The copy you will receive includes the trial version of
INFODEX PRO which will allow you to view but not add to the database.
The database is locked to prevent modification other than adding, changing or deleting
sort indexes. The database is frequently added to and upgraded with new
or additional information and now contains information on over 1200
different magazines.
Available on CD, requires Windows Operating System,
120 meg disk space.
