Scope length

Does scope length have any influence on performance. Assuming power is equal does the distance between the internal optic lens and tube length have any desirable qualities?

  This is an answer to a question that is slightly different. Make sure that the short scopes will allow enough scope movement within the rings to allow you proper EYE RELIEF.I am old school with short neck and NOT a stock crawler. many times I have to buy extended rings [:(] to get proper eye relief .Also to clear rear sight on bolt action rifles. [:(]
