remington 572 feildmaster 100yd range?

is this gun accurate enough to shoot at 100yds? i have a scope thats sited in at 50yds how d i go about it at 100?

  Sure it is !! 6 clicks up on elavation should put you real close.

  For regular 40 grain high velocity, and a scope with lens center 1.5 inches above bore, if zeroed at 50 yds, expect bullet to be 5 to 5.5 inches low at 100 yards.

  Only way to know is to try it.
  
  Who cares if the scope is on for the first group. Shoot at a large target from a good rest.
  
  I used to be able to lob in 38 special rounds to a basketball sized rock at a good hundred. Unfortunately I sold that gun for some stupid reason.
  
  That was also the day I was able to see visual distortion from a 22-250 fired. Very odd indeed, however it was repeatable several times that day. Looked like a dough nut rolling through the air in the bullets path. Best way I can describe it. It was like you could see the air open up and close again. Only it followed the bullet path. Kind of like a smoke ring only faster.

  I'd guess the barrel is similar to the one on a 550 that I shoot (except for the floating chamber), & I get 3" groups at 100 yards. It has a 2 3/4x Bear Cub on it. I could probably shrink the groups if I bought more accurate ammo for it- I shoot Wildcat HPs- good for squirrels to about 40 yards.

  I do not think 22's are any different then any other gun. Just that there is a lot more ammo to chose from at a discount price.
  
  Plus most people do not ever learn how to shoot a 22 in a target gripping way. Has something to do with the reputation and the cost of ammo. Those that tell stories of walking up hill in the snow both ways to school every day and how dad or uncle only gave them one shell per animal ever learned how to shoot a 22 well.
  
  The other way the story is told is they got so much for a varmint, and a box of 22's cost a lot so they learned how to make $ shooting varmints. One guy said he paid his way through collage that way.

  thankyou ill have to try it, i can hit bottle caps at 50yds so im hopinh i can shoot at 100

  If this is the 572, you were enquiring about earlier, and if it is a smooth bore, as you suggested it might be, then, no, probably not going to be accurate at 100 yards.
  
  If it is a rifled bore, and your scope is sighted zero at 50 yards, then at 100 it will be around 4-5 inches low. You can either hold the cross hair over by that much, or dial in your scope by adding 4-5MOA of correction in elevation.
  
  I will tell you, that a lot of 22's are fairly accurate, out to unbelievable ranges, if there is little or no wind.
  
  I know a boy, now 11, but when he was 8 years old schooled a bunch of old fella's at the range of the local Rod-n-Gun club. He showed them, a standard Ruger 10-22, with a mil-dot reticle scope, could make bowling pins, fairly easy to hit at 200 yards. When suggested what he was going to do, the older gent's scoffed at the thought of a 22LR hitting anything at 200 yards. After he showed them, and then taught them, them old fella's found a new sport. They did shoot a brick and a half(750 rounds of 22LR) worth of ammo that particular day, and you should have seen the interaction between the youngster and the old geezer's. They all had a blast. The youngster happened to be my nephew.
