Beretta gardone 6.5mm

A friend is looking at trading me a sportorized Beretta Gardone in 6.5 with 2 boxes of Hornady ammo. Gun looks to be in fair condition w/o sling. I have no pics of it that I can post but he is asking $150 in trade. I know nothing of these and plan on selling the gun. Is it a fair trade value?

  More then likely it's a sporterized Carcano, Italian army rifle. It dates to World War II, and is not very desirable to U.S. shooters as far as hunting rifles are concerned.
  
  This is what it looked like before it was sporterized. The Italian rifles were made in two different calibers this might be a 7.7 7.35 rather then a 6.5.
  
  
  
  
  Personally I would pass on it. It's a design that dates to the 19th Century that requires a special clip to function as a repeater. If you don't have the clip your screwed.

  Rufe: I think you meant 7.35 (not 7.7)and 6.5.
