NEED CHOKE TUBES FOR 1187

Have a 1187 Premiere trap shot gun made in 1989 and is back bored. Can't find choke tubes for it. Remington don't make them any more and don't know where to get one. I need a cylinder or modified tube. I have looked at all of the obvious places. Any ideas?

  Has this barrel been altered, or is it the standard Remington Rem-Choke configuration? If it has not been altered, all Rem-Chokes should work, and they are abundant on the auction side, and places like MidWay USA, also.
  
  If you are looking for something special, then there is always Briley.

  I would have guessed any Remington choke would work. I thought they were all the same thread style???

  This is a factory trap shot gun that has a factory over bored barrel. Remington quit making that barrel in 1990. The choke tubes will not interchange.

  Look up Carlson or Briley and give them a call. They are experts and if they don't have one (which would be strange), they can tell you where to get one. I checked my books on all 11-87's and they don't show a different choke (could be so rare the books don't know that info)
  
  BTW - back bored should have no effect on the choke tube.

  Checked Carlson, 1100 Comp barrel did use the "Pro Bor" tube and the 887 did use a different tube, but all others use the std Rem tube.

  Afraid it does. It's the main difference between Browning's Invector and Invector Plus chokes. Back bored barrels are visibly larger. Were you thinking of a lengthened forcing cone? That would have no effect on the type of choke tube.
