Iver Johnson Question.
Hello!
I realize that this is a real shot in the dark, but does anyone know of a tap that would work to restore the internal threads for a firing pin nut on an Iver Johnson .32 hammerless revolver, or a thread chaser of the correct thread pitch? I don't know the actual thread pitch but I know that someone on this forum has had the same problem at one time or another.
Any info would be really appreciated!
Thank you!

You don't have any local gunsmiths? Generally gun screws are extra fine thread and are not found in stock at the box stores.
Can you post some pic's of the part, does it screw into the frame or on the hammer.
I got a Win 94 AE trapper as a gift. The right cartridge guide was striped and had a crack. No parts anywhere. Drilled out guide 2 screw sizes larger then tapped hole and cut threads on a 16p nail. Center punched drilled and retapped with the mail ordered 4-40, back to origional. Way better than glue it came with.
