Poly-Tech Legend, NIB with no # on gas-tube?
Poly-Tech Legend. Has anyone ever seen a NIB Legend with no number at all on the gas-tube? Part b -- has anyone ever seen a NIB Legend with the gas-tube number ONLY electro-penciled on the bottom of the tube and not stamped anywhere.

I am not sure about the Legend Series, I have never owned one. All my pre ban and the 56s AK's that were caught in customs did not have the gas tube numbered. Some of them did have the number electro-penciled on the underside as you said. Only ones I have seen numbered on top of the gas tube were the MAK 90 models. That being said, their will be people here later that will know much more than me. 0 -
Have owned several Polytech Legends (new in the box) and none of which had serial numbers on the gas tubes, as a mater of fact I do not recall any AK's that I have had with numbers on the gas tubes, at least none of mine did.

Juggernaut, that is odd to me, since I have held about 6 new-in-box Legends. And, all of them had the serial # stamped on the upper rear of the gas-tube. Of course none of them had #'s on the dust-cover -- but that's not the question here. In fact, of the dozen [12] Legends I have owned, ALL of them had serial #'s stamped in the upper rear of the gas-tube. 0 -
Like I said have never seen any #'s stamped or electro-penciled on the gas tubes and all of my AK's were nib.

I have seen them with and without the gas tube block marked. I have never seen one that the reciever was not marked, the bolt/bolt carrier was not marked, and sometimes the dust cover was marked...on the inside.

tsr1965, Juggernaut, ni hao,
Much thanks for the information. (I did not know some nib-legends came without the number stamped on the gas-tube.) By some odd coincidence, I have never seen any such legend myself
(nib or used).
Again, much thanks for the information.0 -
Minor clarification: Just recently I 'ran into' a *used* legend without any # on the gas-tube and with **fresh-filings** on the gas-tube. You may even see an ad for said gun, by me, in the near future. So, I am correcting myself slightly from what I said above.

I've had about 10 Norincos and one Clayco and none had markings on the gas cylinder, carrier or other parts. It's thin walled tube and not smart to stamp markings into. 0
