    was given to my dad sme time ago. Could anybody help get a dom the only numbers I could find are a E (E)roman 11673 colt army special 38 with lanyard also a rearing horse on one side and a bull on the other (engraved) THanks for the help the condition is shootable but lot of bluing missing otherwise not bad

    We need quality photos to help you. Their are instructions in a "STICKY" on our header page for posting photos. Your serial number doesn't seem valid for a Army Special Colt though. The serialization for Army Specials was a continuation of the older New Army and Navy Models. It would have been much higher then 11673, unless someone in the far distant past rebarreled a older NA & N with a Army Special barrel.


    EDIT #1, The barrel marking for the Colt Army Special revolver is shown in this photo, that I got off the net. It would have been made after 1907, with a much higher serial number then your revolver has.

    found the correct number (needed glasses) 389792 DOM around 1915
    I'm at dads house in florida and no info on my photobucket account sorry
