Lyman 103 peep sight
I just acquired a Lyman No 103 peep sight that is unmarked except for "SS" stamped on the underside of the base, which means it's for the Savage 1922 and 1923-A 22 cal sporters. My question: is the base supposed to be straight front to back, or should it be curved up slightly on both ends?

Pic's would help a lot. The base should fit very well to the rifle it was made for, however Bubba has been know to modify things.
edit I see your question. The reveal on the side looks correct. Does it fit your rifle correctly?

I understand. The sight in gunparts appears to be flat end to end. I hope someone else chimes in to help you out.0 -

I don't have a gun to check the fit, which is why I listed the post hoping someone with a Savage 1922 or 1923-A would weigh in 0
