Knoch 577/450 Martini-Henry ammo

Beware of the Knoch 577/450 Martini-Henry ammo now being sold on Gun Broker and elsewhere; over 90% of the rounds will not fire! The ammo was not stored improperly at sometime in the last 60 years, and moisture has destroyed the priming compound.

  Given the rarity of this ammo and if it isn't Berdan primed, I'd dismantle the ammo, reprime and reassemble it.
  This is old ammo.
  As a kid I had the same problem with 50-70 Govt black powder ammo.
  The reloading was with pliers but ammo was good enough to kill a deer.
  In your shoes, I'd buy the ammo, a set of dies and an inertia bullet puller.
  If you go that route, do a neck anneal as old brass is liable to crack at the neck when you reload it.
