AR-15 barrel installation

Hi guys. I am probably setting a record for badgering this forum. LOL

I have a Bravo company BCG, 20" 1:7 heavy barrel, a YHM free float handguard with quad rails, a low profile .750 gas block, and a rifle length gas tube coming.

I need to know what are the parts that I need to have to install the barrel and handguard? Where it screws on to the upper.

    The barrel attaches to the upper via a barrel nut. Your new barrel will/should already have one.

    You're going to need a platform specific barrel wrench, upper receiver block, a vice heavy enough for the task at hand and a torque wrench.

    Almost forgot,
    Check youtube videos for AR specific assembly vids.

    I went this route late year. The best deal on the net for tooling and parts is from Midway. Be sure to check for promo & coupon codes before ordering though. If you time it right and your eligible for all the discounts/sales you can get 10% or more off your order.

    Before you order anything take the previous posters advice, review on-line sites like Brownell's for proper assembly and tooling instructions. Be very wary of YouTube, some of the folks who post DIY videos don't know their rectums from a hole in the ground, about what they are posting about. If you follow their instructions your setting yourself up for a major fail.

    I ordered the tool kit and the video from Brownells and want to have everything I need so that perhaps I can build more in the future.

    +1 on the torque wrench, It does make a difference.

    What do I need to measure torque on and what amount of torque am I looking for?

    The barrel nut has to be torqued. The video your getting from Brownell's will give you the torque values they recommend.
