will a k frame grip fit a N frame in a target grip style???
from smith and wesson..
I have a set of grips on a N frame that that fit just off alittle at the top??? not the backstrap but the area on the sides...
some one told me they are grips for a k frame!!!!!!!????

I don't think so. A L frame will take a K frame grip 0 -
N, J, and K grips don't interchange.
K and L are the same.
Also you have to be aware that some grips are for square butt grip frames and some for round butt frames.0 -
Factory k-frame grips can be installed on an N-frame. They just don't cover all of the grip frame like they should just as you descibed. I have, in the past, seen N-frame revolvers listed on the auction side described as having the "original grips" that were obviously for K-frames. 0 -
They are most likley K frame grips. That sounds like the way they fit a N frame. 0 -

There was just a recent thread on this very topic.
The answer, is yes, you can get K frame grips onto an N frame gun, they just leave a teensy gap.
