I am just going by the bore at muzzle measures around .427, not sure it is 44-40 as there are no markings other than serial number.

  The firing pin shown in one of your pictures shows that it is a centerfire.

  Hard to tell in the pic, but it looks like the cartridge support on the bottom of the bolt is broken off?
