    Sure looks like a screwdriver to me. I doubt it is the same Corbin who makes bullet swaging tools.
    The Corbin cannelure tool is a crank driven roller affair.

    High grade screwdrivers like yours with ebony handles were included in fine cased shotgun sets.
    It looks like the shank was squared to put a wrench on it (bad practice).

    could it be possible if this Corbin screwdriver could be a specialty screwdriver then, used for locksmith work? maybe squared shanks insert thru certain antique locksets? I think I recall seeing square access "holes" on old antique locksets?..this "item" has definitely NOT been altered
